Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is a Muay Thai kickboxer, began her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko won an additional medal in the year 2007, a bronze in 2008, and a gold in 2011, and won the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia, who began her career as a professional in 2003, won in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. The WMC World Championships were also held in 2016 and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She took the win via a second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko had a brief absence from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa in an unanimous decision. She went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina displayed her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera using knees. Antonina accepted a UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was given the UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
